Norway Eliteserien – Bodo/Glimt v Haugesund Preview (2/4/18)

Match Preview

I have to say I quite like what I’ve seen from Bodo so far this season. They beat a tough looking LSK side 2-1 on the opening day, and although losing at Brann 2-0 last time out, they put in a good second half performance and were unlucky not to at score at least one goal. They tend to play in quite a proactive and positive way, looking to hit the back of the net and they are quite pleasant on the eye. I think they’ll go quite well at home this season and this is another winnable fixture for them at Aspmyra. The visitors Haugesund are known as quite a defensive team, often focusing on organisation. But I have a feeling they might get into a sort of shootout here instead.

It was interesting to note that that Lillestrom, who are a similar sort of side to Haugesund were involved in a fairly open contest in round one. Bodo were close to unlocking the Brann defence a couple of weeks ago too. I’m not a H2H sort of punter, but a ridiculous 11 of the last 12 meetings have all gone over 2.5, many of them significantly. It just seems that whenever these teams meet then goals flow, so maybe the same will happen again. I think this can be an over sort of game in which both teams score and the price is generous around evens on this line. Glimt are deserving favourites, but FKH won at Odd on the opening day 2-1 so can’t be underestimated.

Prediction: 2-1

Recommended bet 1 unit: Over 2.5 goals @2.0
