MLS – Philadelphia Union v Orlando City Preview (13/4/18)

Match Preview

Philly have only really treaded water so far this season, winning just one of their four games. Even that was against New England when they faced ten men for nearly 80 minutes. Failure to score enough goals has been a concern, just one netted in their last three games is a really low tally in a league like MLS. Of course, the standard of their displays hasn't been too bad and there has been encouragement. Philly aren't ‘that bad’ a side but they never seem to threaten breaking into the top level of teams.

Orlando have been producing some insane comebacks this season. The most recent was a remarkable three goals scored in the last ten mins vs Portland Timbers after they trailed 0-2. Right now confidence must be high in their camp although perhaps it masks some deficiencies. On another day they could've easy lost vs NYRB and Portland but there’s something about this side which has character. I don’t like backing away sides in MLS, in fact it’s the way to the poorhouse usually. But I can’t resist Orlando +0.75. I think this line is miles out compared to what it should be so according to my estimations, there’s great value.

Prediction: 1-1

Recommended bet 1 unit: Orlando +0.75 @1.98
