France Ligue 2 – Red Star v Le Havre Preview (10/8/18)

Match Preview

Red Star have no points on the board after two games. They haven’t been ‘that’ bad and even put up a decent fight against Lens last week. But you feel they are generally a limited side who could be in for a long season. One of the big problems they will face all year is having to play home matches in Beauvais which is about 70 miles away from their own Paris base. So this match is effectively played at a neutral venue and Le Havre should enjoy that fact. The visitors themselves have started the year with two straight draws, but probably should've won both matches. Sooner or later they will get 3 points because this is a top quality squad containing a bunch of high class players. It's interesting to note that key winger Zinedine Ferhat is in the squad tonight. He’s set to leave the club before the end of the transfer window so maybe he will be put in the shop window and deliver a performance if he plays. I’m fairly confident Le Havre will keep a clean sheet here so if they can grab a goal it should be enough. I’m being defensive and taking the visitors on a DNB handicap. I’m basically playing it safe in case they drop 2 points again but for those braver then a -0.25 handicap is perfectly acceptable

Prediction: 0-2
