Where to watch on TV - Eurosport UK 19:30 BST
There’s a new era at Rosenborg after Eirik Horneland was sacked on Thursday night. He was not the only problem at the club but a significant reason why the team have been struggling. Trond Fredriksen will be taking temporary charge with Mikel Dorsin as his assistant. These are two RBK legends who should be able to get more out of the players. Perhaps more concerning is how poor the RBK squad has looked fitness wise. It’s like they've lacked energy and on the back of just a 3 day gap there could be some tiredness. This is not the youngest of squads either.
They travel to Bergen to take on a Brann squad who are unbeaten and won't be easy to break down. Recent meetings between the two sides have been notoriously tight and Brann haven’t been without success. They won’t get a better chance to kick an RBK that is already on the floor right now and have the sort of personnel who are strong mentally. This is a difficult match to predict because surely we will see some sort of reaction from RBK after the Horneland sacking. This is going to be physical, fiercely contested and my gut feeling is it will be low scoring. The bookies aren’t taking any chances but I think UNDER 2.25 is worth backing at a decent price. It’s a 0-0 contender if both teams defend well and a small bet on no goalscorer at 8/1 is probably worth a nibble too.
Recommended bet: Under 2.25 goals @2.06
Recommended bet: No goalscorer @9.0
