Strømsgodset managed to salvage a 2-2 draw vs Start on Thursday. They played well in patches but came under some pressure in the second half. Moses Mawa came off the bench and made a big impact ao I wonder if he could be in line for the start here. It is in offensive areas where they have more strength with the likes of Salvesen, Ikaunieks & Maigaard all strong options. They can certainly be ‘got at’ defensively though as Start proved in the first round. Henrik Pedersen is a good tactical coach and his teams generally tend to have a proper go at being positive. Since he took over here at SIF their home record has been excellent although this will be a different sort of test without their usual fans.
Odd were very poor against Sandefjord on Wednesday. I wasn’t very impressed as they laboured and struggled to break down who on paper look to be the worst side in the league. Things went totally pear shaped as they conceded late goals and eventually lost 1-2. Something just didn’t look right with Odd. Physically they appeared off the pace and mentally they weren’t sharp either. They have a striker in Torgeir Børven who is now officially confirmed as leaving the club to Rosenborg. That transfer goes through on August 1st but will his head really be that focused now? I like backing over 2.5 goals here. This fixture tends to be high scoring and the way Godset played on Thursday makes me feel this will be quite open.
Recommended bet: Over 2.5 goals @1.82
