Aalesund are bottom of the table and one of just two teams who have yet to pick up a victory this season. This is a surprise because they were many people’s tip to be a dark horse and power comfortably into the midtable range. Defence has been the big problem and they’ve shipped in a massive 19 goals which is absolutely horrendous. Manager Lars Bohinen has been working on the defensive aspect of the team recently but it seems to no avail. AFK could really do with the likes of Jordon Mutch and Fredrik Carlsen to get fit in midfield but it seems their respective injury statuses are questionable. The home team could line up with five at the back here in an attempt to stifle Glimt but you sense it will be a difficult task.
Fredrik Knudsen’s Bodø/Glimt side have been an absolute train so far this season, winning 6 out of 6 games and looking imperious. Their fitness and energy has been remarkable and a major factor towards their success. But the simple fact is they are incredibly well drilled and possess some high quality players. It really seems like a difficult task to stop them and I just don’t see how Aalesund have the ability. Maybe the home team have a chance if they can score goals themselves with Niklas Castro and Simen Nordli perhaps conjuring up some magic. The handicap on Glimt is -1.5 and they probably cover it but surely an even better bet is over 3.25 goals. AFK concede goals for fun but this could be a match in which both teams score. 1-3 or 1-4 is my prediction.
Recommended bet: Over 3.25 goals @1.87
