There seems to be no stopping the Bodø/Glimt train right now. They have blitzed their way to five consecutive wins and sit top of the Eliteserien table. Glimt have looked the fittest, hungriest and best side in the league so far and and bang up for anything right now. Only Sarpsborg have been able to really hold them in any sort of check because in most fixtures they’ve created a plethora of chances. The key to Glimt’s success has been consistent team selection. Manage Kjetil Kuntsen has kept the exact same XI in every match bar a goalkeeping change. At some stage burnout and a lack of freshness might catch up with the team but I don’t think that will happen yet and I’d be surprised if there are any changes here.
Brann come here in third position and haven’t had a bad start to the season. They’d be unbeaten but for a late goal conceded vs RBK and Lars Arne Nilsen has for the most part coached fairly well this season. Only a 3 day gap between fixtures is less than ideal prior to a trip up to Bodø/Glimt though. I have seen a lot of people jump on the Glimt bandwagon here but I actually think a price of around 1.65 is poor. Brann are a tough matchup for them and are a strong defensive side. Nilsen isn’t stupid and will employ some good tactics to try and stifle Bodø/Glimt. It’s worth noting that he has yet to lose to Kjetil Knutsen in the Eliteserien and last season Brann won 2-1 in this fixture. I’m not going to bet on anything here and I wouldn't be surprised if Brann managed to avoid defeat.
