Here we have the big game of the day between two unbeaten teams who are in the top two places. Glimt have a 100% record and have blitzed most teams this season whilst Molde have only dropped points against Kristiansund (2-2 draw). From an offensive point of view these two sides are streets ahead of the rest of the league and I would expect a glutton of chances at both ends. The Molde defence has been coping surprisingly well considering they've had a bunch of injuries and fitness problems. The exact makeup of their backline remains to be seen but to be honest I think goalkeeper Andreas Linde has helped paper over a few cracks. Linde has already saved two penalties this season and also come up with a few other key saves.
Bodø/Glimt have the quality to take advantage of any Molde issues at the back. They’ve scored a whopping 35 goals in 9 games which is just outrageous. The area which Glimt have to be careful is at the other end. Few teams have been able to threaten them much this season but Molde have a vast array of quality themselves. The likes of Eikrem, James and the pacey technical wingers cannot be underestimated. They also have physical options like Ohi to come onto the field if needed. MFK have a champions mentality and might even relish being the supposed underdog here.
Incredibly, Bodø/Glimt are odds on favourites with the bookies in some places. This just shows you the progress the club has made. To be honest, this might be slightly too extreme but they do deserve to be favourites on the day. They won this fixture 3-2 last season whilst the return match in Molde ended 4-2 to MFK. The goal line is set mostly around the 3.5 mark here but that doesn’t seem high enough. I just struggle to see anything else apart form a shootout in this game and it could end something wild. On this occasion I think Bodø/Glimt will take a victory, maybe something like 3-2 but there is so much attacking talent on the field it’s a question of who take their chances.
