Brann have been inconsistent recently, winning drawing and losing all over the place which makes them difficult to predict. They should have picked up 3 points against Start last week but wasted chances. The good news was that they looked dangerous and created plenty of good occasions though. The likes of Bamba and Koomson have generally looked sharp this season and causing the opposition all sorts of problems. Chance conversion is a worry recently but I think Brann can get back on track soon. Manager Lars Arne Nilsen has come up with some more positive game plans this season and they look better for it. A full week off has enabled the Brann squad to be in good physical condition with few injuries to worry about.
The same can be said about Kristiansund who looked a bit tired in recent matches. I’m sure it would’ve been a relief to have a week off and recharge their batteries. They put in a great performance away at Glimt but succumbed to a late goal losing 1-2. They were then frustrated by Vålerenga and held to a 0-0 draw. KBK started the season unbeaten in 6 games but have actually only managed to take maximum points from a couple of contests in 2020. They have dropped back to the middle of the back in 9th. It looks like all of their key players are going to be fit for this contest.
The pick I like here is over 2.75 goals. Usually, one meeting between these sides ends over every season and I sense today is going to be another of those occasions. Brann have shown a willingness to attack much more this season but the repercussions of that have been leaving themselves more open and taking more risks. I personally think that Kristiansund have the weapons to take advantage of that as well. I fully expect Amahl Pellegrino to be a huge handful here and the likes of Kastrati should get chances. Both teams can counter attack well and it could be an open contest. Something like a 2-2 draw wouldn’t surprise me or even an away win.
Recommended bet: Over 2.75 goals @2.03
