Bodø/Glimt have finally dropped some points as they blew a 2-0 lead vs Stabaek on Thursday. Their winning run was eventually going to end and they can look back on that game with missed opportunities and feel they probably should’ve won it. There has been some good news for Glimt with Molde shockingly losing to Sandefjord on Saturday though. This gives them a huge opportunity to go 6 points clear at the top of the table and the bookmakers have them priced up at the 1.15 mark to get 3 points. This is incredibly low odds, as short as I’ve seen anyone in the Eliteserien, including the dominant Rosenborg teams back in the day. Bookmakers are running scared of Glimt who have been smashing some teams left right and centre this season.
Today they face a Godset side who have been inconsistent this year but head into the game on the back of a victory at least. Henrik Pedersen’s men claimed a 3-1 success vs Brann in midweek which should have lifted their confidence. I don’t think they’ll be able to match Glimt here but the handicaps and goal lines are getting out of hand now. Bodø are a -2.25 Asian Handicap which as good as they are is miles too high. Godset are no mugs and a midtable Eliteserien side. The goal line is understandably high, but a 3.75 or 4 goal line simply doesn’t interest me anywhere in the world really. You need FIVE goals to get a full winner which is sometimes asking a lot. I see something like a 3-1 home win which could be more if Glimt get into gear but I think we are at the stage where they are actually being overrated by the bookies now.
