Norway Eliteserien – Odd v Kristiansund (16/8/20)

Match Preview

Odd continue to be surprisingly good under the management of Jan Frode Nornes and they’ve now racked up a 6 wins in their last 7 games! You have to say fair play to everyone here because on paper they seem just a midtable outfit who lack any real stars. Even Musha Bakenga got on the scoresheet last week as they beat Stabaek 1-0 away from home. I have been impressed with all aspects of their game in recent weeks and they seem like a well rounded side at the moment who are clearly high on confidence. Team dynamics are excellent and there’s a consistency in selection which is really helping them. The squad is quite small but they don’t have any major injuries and conditioning good.

Kristiansund travel here having won their last three consecutive games and have picked up their form again after a sticky spell. KBK have only lost one away match all season which came at Glimt, and even then they only went down 1-2 after a late wonder goal. Christian Michelsen continues to do a fantastic job at this club and he’s one of the best managers in the entire league. Both teams are playing with belief, no fear and confidence right now and this should be a decent game of football. It’s hard to predict though and could go either way. Over 2.75 goals did tempt me but honestly this is a tricky one. I see a draw of either 1-1 or 2-2.

Prediction: 1-1
