Norway Eliteserien – Brann v Haugesund Preview (7/11/20)

Match Preview

  • Now winless in 8 games but did come from 1-3 down to draw with Sandefjord last week
  • CB Ole Martin Kolskogen, who has been one of their few bright sparks this season is likely ruled out due to injury
  • Brann have a shocking home record this season, the third worst in the league and have only won 2/11 in Bergen
  • Head coach Kåre Ingebrigtsen struggle to make much of an impact result wise so far

  • One of the hardest sides to predict in the league and sitting relatively comfortably midtable
  • Inexplicable home loss to Aalesund last weekend sums this team up, literally capable of anything
  • Key left back Alexander Stølas returns from suspension - big for their set pieces
  • Mixed away record but generally struggled to score on their travels this season

Conclusion & Betting analysis

Here we have a west coast derby between a couple of rival teams. Apart from last season this fixture tends to have a history of goals being scored. However, literally anything could happen here. Brann are a team in desperate need of a win and maybe they can take some momentum from their late fightback last week. They scored a dramatic equaliser to earn a 3-3 at Sandefjord from 1-3 down and actually showed some character. Aalesund shocked everyone by beating Haugesund 1-0 but it was a bit of a freak match, played in terrible weather conditions. FKH missed a penalty and looked sloppy all night, it was also their 3rd match in a week. I am expecting an improved performance from the visitors and if any team is to win I’d actually say Haugesund are more likely. Tricky game though and best just watched in my opinion.
