Godset’s 6 game draw streak came to an end last week when they lost 1-2 away to Molde. It wasn’t the worst display in the world and for the most part SIF have been playing quite well recently. However, their lack of a victory must be playing on the mind a bit. The last time they tasted the sweet 3 points was way back on August 16th. Despite a bunch of consistent draws Godset are kind of hard to predict in terms of ‘type’ of performance. They;ve had a couple of 0-0s mixed in with wild 2-2s and 3-3s. I think for the most part their natural tendency is to attack and get involved in end to end contests, providing the opposition is of a similar ilk. Godset welcome back 3 suspended players and will be reinforced at the back with Mickelson and Gunnarsson returning.
VIF are in good form and still well in the race to finish in a medal position. Dag Eilev Fagermo’s men have won 4 of their last 6 games and have especially been scoring well of late. They look to be in a good rhythm although on the road their form is less reliable, losing 3 of the last 4. Squad condition is good with only key midfielder Fredrik Oldrup Jensen still doubtful with injury. He’s now missed the last three contests although VIF have done quite well in his absence.
Conclusion & Betting analysis
I fancy goals here and I’m a little bit disappointed the goal line on offer is just 3.25. I was hoping for a juicy price on an over 3 pick but the bookies are instead offering a more fair assessment. I still think over 3.25 goals is worth backing though. These two sides tend to get involved in higher scoring contests and the matchup favours end to end transitions on the attack. I just don’t see either side really shutting up shop and defending. Either team could win but something like a 2-2 draw feels about right.
Recommended bet: Over 3.25 goals @1.87
