Conclusion & Betting analysis

The first thing to say is there is nothing really at stake in this game which always makes things awkward. Sarpsborg actually beat Molde earlier in the season so MFK will maybe want some revenge here. This match ends a hectic schedule for Molde in which they’ve been playing constantly midweek and at weekends due to league and European duty respectively. They have done a good job rotating around everyone though and are quite used to this by now. They finished the 2nd half really strongly in midweek away to Odd, eventually winning 4-1 thanks to an Ohi hat trick. A lot depends what sort of mood Sarpsborg are in. If they are up for the fight and defend well then it might be a slightly difficult afternoon for Molde. But if the visitors are already on the beach then I’m expecting a comfortable home win. With a -1.25 handicap and 3.25 goal line I’m going to leave it alone. Remember, Molde only laboured past Aalesund 2-1 recently. I think something like 3-0 or 3-1 is likely, but ultimately with nothing at stake I’d prefer not to bet.

Prediction: 3-1
