Norway Eliteserien – Stabaek v Kristiansund Preview (13/12/20)

Match Preview

  • Comfortably in midtable on 35 points with seemingly little to play for
  • Have had a full week of rest to prepare for this game
  • Mixed 5-5-4 home record this season
  • 9 out of 14 home games ended under 2.5 on this grass pitch

  • Late 4-3 winner against Odd in midweek still gives them hope of finishing in the top four
  • Third best away record in the league with only 2 defeats
  • No new injuries or suspensions reported

Conclusion & Betting analysis

All of the motivation is with Kristiansund and that is reflected in the price. They are -0.25 Asian Handicap favourites whereas normally they would probably be underdogs here. I definitely considered backing KBK but ultimately Stabaek  are too much of a wildcard team to be involved with. There’s also a chance that the expectation and the pressure gets to Kristiansund a bit, or they simply get too desperate in their quest for victory. This match will probably be open so if over 2.75 covered I wouldn’t be surprised. The grass surface at the Nadderud Stadion doesn’t always play that well though. I’ll leave this match alone but I’m thinking a 2-1 or 3-1 Kristiansund win.

Prediction: 1-2
