Conclusion & Betting analysis

Auxerre won the reverse fixture 5-1 and actually did the double over Ajaccio last season beating them 3-1 and 3-2 respectively. It seems that Jean Marc Furlan has a good matchup vs Olivier Pantaloni and has won the last 5 meetings. Ajaccio are in good form but the simple fact is that Auxerre are the better team with better squad depth and that bit of extra class. I’m not a great fan of betting against Ajaccio on their own home patch but it feels like the right time to be taking them on. Auxerre are surprisingly underdogs on a DNB around the 2.10 mark. I would have the visitors as clear -0.25 favourites myself and they can kick on from their excellent win on Tuesday night vs Troyes. The manager H2H is also very favourable here and it seems Furlan knows how to get a result against Ajaccio.

Prediction: 1-2

Recommended bet: Auxerre DNB @2.13
