Match Preview

  • Just 1 win in 12 games has seen Dunkerque slip down to 16th place
  • General problems at both ends of the field, but especially with goalscoring
  • Kerrouche (CM) and Romil (ATT) remain out with COVID

  • 1-6-5 away record this season

Conclusion & Betting analysis

Two poor teams meet here and a defeat for Dunkerque would put them on the doorsteps of the relegation zone. I think if Chambly were at full strength then they would win, but this is a side that has had to deal with a bad COVID outbreak recently and you have to wonder what it has taken out of the squad. To be fair to Chambly they actually performed much better than most people expected recently, only losing 0-1 vs Clermont and Auxerre when the assumption was they would get battered. If they can show the same sort of fight and application here then they have every chance. I am not sure which way things go here but I’m expecting a nervous and tight sort of match which could hinge one one set piece or mistake. I’ll predict a draw but the final outcome is anyone’s guess really.

Prediction: 1-1
