Conclusion & Betting analysis

Caen have been in such poor form that they gave head coach Pascal Dupraz the boot last week. I think it was a fair dismissal because this squad hasn’t really lived up to potential. The man taking over is B team coach Fabrice Vandeputte, so he knows the club well and might end up leaning on a few youngsters. It will be interesting to see if he can get much of a reaction straight away because if Caen lose here they will only be one point above Pau! The new coach has shaken things up by leaving out some veterans like Weber and Goncalves, instead putting his trust in a number of youth players. The visitors meanwhile, have been in good form recently and won 3 of their last 4, but it’s often a different story for them away from home. Anything could happen here and it will all depend how Caen respond to the change of manager. On paper they have much more quality and technical ability so if things finally click then I’d be expecting a home win. Such a hard game to predict and nothing interests me from a betting point of view.
