Norway Eliteserien – Brann v Bodø/Glimt Preview (24/5/21)

Match Preview

  • Lost all 4 games so far, albeit against strong opposition
  • Losing 2-3 vs Rosenborg from 2-1 up with 5 mins left will have hurt
  • No new injuries to worry about, new signings Sane & Gerson might not be available
  • Had the 4th worst home record last season and struggled at their own stadium

  • 7 points after 3 games after they conceded a late equaliser vs RBK last week
  • Beat Brann 5-0 and 3-1 last season and enjoyed facing them
  • Right back Alfons Samsted is rated doubtful
  • Striker Eirik Botheim who has scored in every game so far is also doubtful

Conclusion & Betting analysis

Absolutely nothing has gone Brann’s way this season. They got easily beaten in their first 3 games but looked like getting some points on the board away to Rosenborg on Thursday. However, they blew a 2-1 lead with only 5 mins left to eventually lose 2-3. I really think that both physically and mentally Brann must be absolutely shattered, and now they face the prospect of Bodø/Glimt, a team who battered them twice last season. Even if Brann were in better form then I would fancy the visitors to win here but on the back of a full week of rest, in addition to Brann’s woes then backing Glimt is surely a no brainer. I am surprised you can get a -0.75 Asian Handicap on the away team here. It looks generous to me and I just don’t see Brann getting close to them. Something like 0-2 or 0-3 is likely and Glimt dominate the game.

Prediction: 0-3

Recommended bet: Bodø/Glimt -0.75 Asian Handicap @ 1.99
