  • Impressive start to life back in the Eliteserien picking up 4 points in three tough games
  • Gaute Helstrup 3-5-2 system is offering something different and working well
  • Historically strong at home due to their arctic circle location
  • Striker Runar Espejord likely out along with Mikkel Ingebrigtsen

  • Lost their opening game 0-3 at home to Mjøndalen
  • Performed very poorly last week and must improve significantly
  • Top scorer from last season Sivert Gussias could return from injury
  • Had the 6th best away record last season and picked up 19 points on the road

Conclusion & Betting analysis

Unfortunately the bookies have cottoned onto Tromsø’s excellent start to the season and they are only 1.70 to win this match. I am still going to back them though because I have high confidence in them picking up 3 points. The northern outfit have caused problems to teams like Bodo/Glimt and Molde so if they can do that then they will have no issues with Sandefjord. I have to say the visitors looked awful last week and did nothing to squash pre season talk of them being favourites for relegation. Tromsø look mega up for it right now and seem determined to have a great season following their promotion . They just look much the better outfit at the moment and I would be surprised if they didn’t pick up a win here. I’ll take Tromsø on a -0.75 handicap. If Mjøndalen can beat Sandefjord 3-0 then TIL are more than capable of winning by at least a couple of goals.

Prediction: 3-0
