Norway Eliteserien – Kristiansund v Odd Preview (12/6/21)

Match Preview

Kristiansund

  • Superb four game unbeaten run has KBK up to third place
  • Kept 3 consecutive clean sheets and defensively very solid
  • Squad condition good with only Dan Peter Ulvestad (CB) and Bent Sormo (RB) doubtful
  • Have a big squad to cover for any absences and often rotate a lot

Odd

  • Shock 1-0 victory against Bodo/Glimt in their previous match was a major boost
  • It was their first victory of the season after a low key mediocre sort of start
  • Still have defensive problems with Hagen, Ruud and Owusu injuries
  • Key striker Mushaga Bakenga might not play because of injury either

Conclusion & Betting analysis

Kristiansund continue to do remarkably well. Every single season most people doubt them and expect a regression but manager Christian Michelsen always proves everyone wrong. They’ve won four games in a row and only conceded one goal during this period. KBK play a great counter attacking style and can soak up pressure when needed. I would expect them to beat Odd here, especially if striker Mushaga Baklenga isn’t fit for the visitors. I have no idea how Odd managed to beat Bodo Glimt in the last round. There was no sign of it coming but I suspect it was just a freak sort of ‘one off’ outcome. They will be brought back down to earth here in what will probably be a tight sort of fixture. I see something like a 1-0 or 2-0 KBK victory and taking them on a -0.25 Asian Handicap around the 1.75-80 mark looks absolutely fine to me.

Prediction: 1-0

Recommended bet: Kristiansund -0.25 Asian Handicap @1.78
