Norway Eliteserien – Lillestrøm v Haugesund Preview (13/6/21)

Match Preview

  • Not had a great start to the season losing 3 out of 4 games
  • Generally struggled at both ends of the field and more was expected of LSK
  • Squad condition good with few injuries to worry about
  • Team selection will be interesting with everyone pretty much available

  • 4-2 win vs Viking last time out was their first win of the season
  • Started the campaign failing to score in three straight games but then found their scoring boots
  • Defence usually their main strength when playing well and hard to break down
  • Squad condition perfect with no injuries to worry about

Conclusion & Betting analysis

I don’t really see how Lillestrøm can be 2.20 favourites to win this game based on what we’ve seen so far. They haven’t properly clicked yet this season and I couldn’t be trusting them at these odds. Haugesund are actually a tempting price on a +0.25 Asian Handicap but their usual lack of goals worries me. Yes, they fired four past Viking but prior to that they looked quite toothless. I see this as being a low scoring contest and might even be a 0-0 contender. Both sides are quite physical and think it’ll be a start-stop type of match. Under 2.5 goals at a price of 1.88 is very attractive because I just don’t see how this fixture explodes into anything exciting. It’s going to be a bit of a slugfest which might be decided by a set piece or a scrappy goal somewhere. Overall, I’m pretty confident of the under 2.5 in what should be an uninspiring game.

Prediction: 0-0

Recommended bet: Under 2.5 goals @ 1.86
