Conclusion & Betting analysis

Toulouse are one of the big favourites this season and eyes are always upon this giant of a team at Ligue 2 level. New coach Philipe Montanier will be expected to deliver promotion and on paper a home match vs Ajaccio is relatively straightforward. However, they lost on the opening day to Dunkerque last season and this could equally be a banana skin. I would imagine several thousand fans will be in the stadium today to give TFC a boost, but it could work the other way if they fall behind and don’t play well. I am predicting Toulouse to win this match but at a price of 1.85 I’m not interested in backing them. Ajaccio are no mugs and will be bang up for this match themselves.

Prediction: 2-1
