Strømsgodset

  • Victory against Stabaek last time (2-1) has moved them up to 10th place

  • Kept just one clean sheet all season
  • Squad in good health and no suspensions

Odd

  • Up to 6th in the table and with a couple of games in hand

  • 2--2-3 away record so far this season
  • Key striker Mushaga Bakenga doubtful with injury

Conclusion & Betting analysis

Over 3 goals is a mightily tempting bet here. Odd have been involved in some really high scoring matches recently and Godset are known for their fairly open matches which contain a lot of chances. The problem is the injury doubt to Odd striker Mushaga Bakenga. He has scored 11 goals in 12 matches and although he usually manages to shake off all of these niggles it is clear he might not be at 100%. Bakenga is worth a clear full goal in a match like this so if he was missing then over 3 would certainly look less appealing. Godset matches have a habit of only pushing with exactly 3 goals or ending in a frustrating 1-1 draw so I am happy to resist betting anyway. They have been playing some great football at home this season which makes me think they can get 3 points tonight. However, Godset were a penalty miss away from perhaps losing to Stabaek at the weekend and weren’t quite as convincing. I think something like a 2-1 or 3-1 home win is likely with maybe Odd getting a draw or even threatening the victory if Bakenga plays. Mega close to taking over 3 goals but will resist.

Prediction: 2-1
