France Ligue 2 – Nancy v Le Havre Preview (18/9/21)

Match Preview

Nancy

  • Rock bottom of the table with just 2 points
  • Along with Dunkerque, they are the only winless side in Ligue 2
  • Lost all 3 home matches so far
  • CB/DM Giovanni Haag is suspended after yet another sending off

Le Havre

  • Lost just 1 of their first 7 games this season
  • Unbeaten away from home and yet to concede a goal
  • Under 2.5 goals in 5 out of 7 fixtures
  • Midfielder Amir Richardson misses out due to internal discipline measures
  • Converted fullback Nolan Mbemba injured and striker Boutaib suspended

Conclusion

Le Havre midfielder Amir Richardson drove a car without a license this week and as a result has been internally suspended by the club. They are missing a couple of other regulars such as Nolan Mbemba which might impact the visitors negatively. Despite these absences Le Havre will still probably have enough to win. Nancy just don’t seem in a good place and are still winless, rock bottom of the table. Even worse, there is no real sign on the field of any improvement. Their performances have been very poor and too disjointed. If I had more confidence in Le Havre then I’d probably back them DNB or -0.25. This is likely to be a low scoring match with a draw maybe a possibility or 0-1 Le Havre.
